Steam has not accepted Russian cards since 2022. Is it safe to top up Steam by login, and can my account be banned?
No password is shared: you give only the login, and the money arrives in your Steam wallet like any top-up. Steam does not block accounts for receiving funds, but it may restrict an account if the top-up was paid with stolen cards or reversed by a chargeback, so it matters who tops you up. A seller's rating, number of deals and reviews are visible in their profile, and the payment is held on RMT until the order is fulfilled.
What if the money has not arrived?
Open the order page: its status updates by itself. If the order is cancelled, the payment returns to your RMT balance. If the status does not change or the money has not arrived, write to support: the chat on the site or hello@rmt.games, around the clock. For a private seller's lot, do not confirm the deal and open a dispute: support reads the chat, and if the order was not fulfilled the payment returns to your RMT balance.
